Barton Turf 2011

A few photos taken at Barton on a breezy but glorious Bank Holiday Monday morning while it rained over the rest of the country. Please add any if you have them.

Cheers Graham

Cee Dubbs gives sailing lessons to the Nobes family. Hope you havn't got your mainsheet cleated off Cee Dubbs!

Nick Paull and his beloved in Hazy Days, 2009 Beale Park winner. They sailed fearlessly with all canvas up, and were going like a train until it all went bit un-necessary. Not a good time to discover you've left the bailer in the car.  John "Ratcatcher" Lockwood stood off ready to give assistance.

Wayne and Marcus doing their thing in Ever Hopeful.

Mark Harvey in his renovated Pandora, "Bella".

Yours-Truly having a blast in Coot.
Thanks to John Lockwood for being both Kathy Mansfield and unofficial RNLI for the day.

Re: Barton Turf 2011

Five men in a boat. Bow to stern (I think...); Graham, Mark, Richard, Chris W, Wayne

Wayne finds the perfect accessories for the Thames - a Chris P(S) to swing the oars & a Marcus to helm.....
[Just need a parasol & a Pimms, Wayne! ]

...at least until there's a mutiny. Was that hard work Chris?

That has got to be cheating.....

Curious masthead ornament, Chris?

Wideawake on Barton Broad, with a bit of Sapphi's sea kayak.
(It's nothing short of piracy )

Sapphi with a "What do mean you've eaten all the choc chip cookies?" look.
I think Gem just wants it all to stop - it was a bit bouncy going upwind.

Thanks to all involved; a great weekend, despite the wind.

Cheers,

Phil.
