I'm Albert, a Brit living in Morbihan, southern Brittany. This is a great area for small boats and I'm planning on organising an event here in 18 months time, following on from a Loire trip that I took part in recently.
I've already posted about it on another thread: http://uk-hbbr-forum.967333.n3.nabble.com/Severn-Tewksbury-meet-Sep-Oct-2011-td3334092.html#a3445951 If anyone is interested, get in touch. Albert |

I'm interested, subject to all usual caveats of being available on the dates chosen etc. Like the idea and the region so hope it comes off.
Was your previous trip the one that got air time on the wooden boat forum a while back? Has a familiar ring to it.

Hi Albert, Welcome to the HBBR forum, judging by the boats you used and the impromptu camping you guys should fit in nicely around here.
Keep us posted on the Morbihan event. I'd like to go there one day. regards Graham |

I don't remember seeing it on the Wooden Boat forum, apart from a side mention in a thread about the Quick Canoe. It was first mooted on Duckworks, where there should be a write-up appearing soon.
The Morbihan gig will be around end May/start June 2013, to tie in with la Semaine du Golfe. There might be a Loire cruise next year, too to continue our 2011 trip. The Loire trip included a building week because we had an assortment of participants from far away who couldn't very easily bring boats. This is planned to be a feature of the Morbihan event as well, depending on uptake. Albert PS, is there an option that avoids the need to log in every time you want to post here? |

I could well have seen it on Duckworks! Will look out for the write up.

Hi Albert
I'm hoping to be living near the Golfe du Morbihan in 2013. Even if I'm not, I plan to be sailing there in the Semaine du Golfe. You might remember I had to drop out of the Loire trip at the early planning stage because I realised I would be too busy. By 2013 I hope to be retired properly, though, so I'll be following your plans with interest. Patrick |

Hiya, Patrick.
I thought I'd seen you here. Where/when are you planning on moving to Morbihan? Cheers Albert |

In a perfect world I would sell my house here in Pas De Calais early in 2012, then sell my seaside holiday properties at the end of the 2012 season, tie up all the loose business and family ends, pick up my pension in early 2013 and move to a waterfront house(!) with its own landing stage(!) on the Morbihan just in time for la Semaine.
So obviously hell will have frozen over and all pigs will be airborne. Patrick |

Will you be having a nice little guest house for those passing by.

I'll keep my eye open for one. How would your own island suit you? They come up for sale from time to time. Albert |

I certainly shall, Anders. It's called Albert's place! Albert, I think you might have missed the irony in my previous post. I will be happy with a house within smelling distance of the sea. Anyway, who wants an island? Where would I park my car, or play golf? And my wife would miss the shops, so that's definitely out. Patrick |
