It was fascinating, showing the history of tides and tides prediction in the UK.

It featured a complex and beautiful set of gears and dials built to mechanically calculate tides anywhere, the "programmers" where a delightful set of young ladies.  

Also some sea kayakers using tides to push them along a rocky coastline - brave souls.

Also a marine biologist who drives her daughter to junior school across a road that floods at high tide. Some days they paddle back home, depending on tide.

That was on the Avon, just west of Salcombe. The DCA had a rally
there this year. Pretty river but with significant tidal flow and a
very shallow bar, making it important to understand just what the
tide is doing.
